    • On a strip of paper, write down a sport or pastime in Spanish. Fold strips and put them into a bag or container. Then have family members choose a strip and act it out. Try and guess the activity in Spanish!
  • Charades Version #2: In this second version of Charades, we’re guessing one´s feelings about certain sports or leisure activities! For instance, how does your child feel if you say “We’re going to read a book”? (Vamos a leer un libro.) How would they describe playing soccer? Easy? (facil?) Fun? (divertido?) On a strip of paper, write an activity or sport that your child enjoys, dislikes, or makes them feel happy, scared, bored, relaxed, etc., in Spanish. (You could also re-use the slips of paper from the first version!) Fold strips and put them into a bag or container. Then have family members choose a strip and act it out. Try and guess the emotion in Spanish! Do you think you can also guess which activity or sport makes them feel that way?

Remember that Family Focus ideas are meant to bridge the gap between class and home. These activities increase the student ́s exposure and give them additional opportunities to put their learning into practice.
